Self: Family Dinner in GA

" Dinner is better when you eat together."

In truth, these photos were taken during Thanksgiving but I had to give a shout out to those delicious family dinners. It's so refreshing to visit your own blood when you're old enough to travel without the mums, although she did catch up with us later of course. It's not needed, but it's definitely always wonderful to see people you love.  I haven't seen my cousins in ages and I was in need of some Bajan lovin'. This actually happened on a whim too. I was planning my Thanksgiving with Alex when I was contacted by my big uncle Leroy. He invited me to visit  in Georgia. My cousins Everett and Anthony took me to Atlanta and basically treated me like a five year old the whole time.
Haha I learned a few recipes from my aunt Tracey and watched the Wiz (the older version) and a couple of Bruce Lee movies. Yumm, I also went with my aunt to look at all the organic spices she uses photographed above and took a few of my own :3. I ended up staying an extra day to receive some "grown up" advice without the presence of my mother and I don't know, some visits you'll always remember more than most. Love to you family!

Travel: Orlando International Fashion Week

Posted on Nov 2, 2015

Hey everyone! I've been sick since Halloween and didn't get a chance to share the end of October! I didn't think I was going to do anything this year for Halloween so I bought candy and carved a pumpkin. But at the last minute, Alex surprised me and stayed for the week so I conjured up this "Alien" costume and we went to St.Augustine to take a ghost tour. After the tour we went to a party and I started to feel sick that night but I thought I was just hungover. On the 1st,  I went to the Orlando International Fashion Week fashion show with my friend Monique. The events lasted for the whole week but I was only able to attend one show. Well I'm about a week late but I hope you ladies had a Happy Halloween

OOTD: Selfie Stick & Travel!

Posted on Oct 21, 2015

Hey! I was contacted to write a review on this Selfie Stick from Amazon.com. I've been shopping there recently for clothes I figured I'd try my hand out with selfies! I'm somewhat shy when it comes to what I share online and close up photos of my face are no exception. Also, I don't wear makeup so oooh self conscious.
Lol I have fun with this product though. It has a universal charger on the bottom and connects via Bluetooth. Once it's connected, it's easy to extend or retract and I'm confident my phone won't drop. It's totally useful for travel and I can't wait to take it with me on Halloween! Also...it's great for height differences. :)

Travel: Akanbi Untamed Fashion Show - Orlando, FL

Posted on Oct 9, 2015

Hey girls! Last Saturday I attended the local Akanbi Untamed Fashion Show in Orlando. Lately I've been trying to expand my horizons locally, especially with the fashion community and it doesn't hurt that most of the events are in the heart of Orlando. I may be staying here for a couple of more years and I've honestly fallen in love with the city.
Anywhoo since the IFB Conference, this would be my second fashion event.
The owner/host Damy started his clothing line last year and uses authentic African pieces.

Blogger Woe: I forgot my damn SD card so all of my photos were taken on my phone...my very old phone :'(.

" Don't try to understand everything. Sometimes it is not meant to be understood, just accepted"

I learned a lot in 2014. I think once anyone lives alone for the first time, it takes them awhile to find their one rhythm. However, this year is starting off on a good note. Last semester was such a transition and the word balance was definitely not in my vocabulary. But as I said, it's starting off the best way it could. I've been giving more time to myself. Taking photos everyday, actually cooking hehe and also stressing less in general. I know this semester is going to be hectic but I can't wait. My 21st birthday will be here! Last year was such a struggle and I just can't wait to see what other opportunities I'll take part in this year.

Hello everyone! This is just a brief update on what's been going on since September:
Alex came to visit for about a week and we went to the Wildlife Park/Zoo. I went kayaking a couple of times and I went to "da club" for the first time. Sadly rock climbing became too expensive ($10 a week to practice!) so hopefully I'll join next semester once I get a job andddd lastly I went to school during a tornado watch. I mean... I thought they would cancel class when a tree fell in front or one of the parking garages but no, I had to trek through the rain all day lol.
Soo so far I've been sticking to going to school, going out with Mishelle on weekends and repeat but I'd like to narrow down which clubs I'd really like to join...so many choices. Also next week I have two exams ahh so maybe I should study a bit now...but I'll most likely catch up on some blogs and work on it later tonight.

Oh...and did you guys catch that huge Forever 21 sale last night???? 50% off sale items and free shipping for everything!

Hey hey guys! So this would've been the day to shoot video but it was just too cold and the blizzard was the next day haha, So! besides being bundled up I have on a basic simple outfit to keep me warm while I went shopping with my cousin Deria. I had no idea that the Forever 21 there was 3 stories! So this was basically a day of sight seeing, shopping, walking and eating a ton of delicious food!

I have loads of homeowork to do guys, other wise I'd go into detail. I'll be commenting on your blogs soon whenever I get some free time! Thanks for all the love :).

Well hey guys!! I'm finally back from the freezing cold of New York and it was too much fun! The night I flew in I stayed with my cousin Deria in Harlem and had my first experience with the subway. Then of course the next day we were headed off to the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference! Oh my goodness I met so many lovely ladies and they were all so gorgeous and dressed up, it was like a dream haha. Every single one of them were too sweet and I enjoyed it 100%! I almost got a photo with Aimee Song, but it came out too blurry that I had to delete it!

But yeah the conference had photo booths, diy, MAC and hair styling booths! They also had the extremely beautiful Tyson Beckford. Atleast I got that photo! Ahh I had so much fun but now I'm back to reality with an exam tomorrow, homework and work. Have a good week guys! Pt. 2 will be up sometime this week :).

Here are all the connections I made from the conference! :):
